Canvas is always actively looking for fresh, new and exciting art!
All submissions will be reviewed by the owner of Canvas Gallery, Megan Less. If you are an artist interested in submitting your work for review please understand that because we can receive up to 25 submissions a week it may take us a few weeks to respond... however we DO make it a point to respond to every submission whether there is interest in the work or not. Additionally, please note that at this time Canvas Gallery is only working with Canadian artists or artists currently living and working in Canada.
At Canvas we strive to show work of all styles and mediums, but because of space limitations we cannot take in everything. Please remember - if your artwork is not selected for the gallery, it is because it is not appropriate for our clientele and market, not because of the aesthetic value of your work. If your work is selected for further review, we may arrange a studio visit with you to see the originals or request that originals are brought in.
*All of our works are consigned from the artist on a 50/50 basis and though we are non-exclusive we do ask that pricing for work is consistent with your pricing outside of the gallery.
Any submissions should include the following information for each work:
> name of artist
> title of work
> medium
> size
> suggested retail price (again please note that pricing must be consistent with anywhere else you sell your work) Also it is preferable to send images of work that is AVAILABLE.
We accept the following submission methods:> Digital images of available work can be submitted as JPG files, on CD ROM, or by emailing your URL; again, please provide an accompanying list of each piece and its details. Please include a self-addressed stamped envelope with any CD or hard copy submissions. Email submissions or web site links can be e-mailed to art@canvasgallery.ca.
