Steve Redman

Steve Redman was born in 1963 in Collingwood, Ontario. He has worked in a wide range of artistic fields. His career began as a history textbook illustrator but he shortly moved on to become an award winning editorial illustrator. Since 2002 Steve has dedicated himself exclusively to his abstract painting. The work combines fairly loose improvisational lines with lines that were contemplated over a longer period over time. Often the work is divided into numerous panels. This multi-paneled approach gives the work a kind of visual tempo. Consider dancers on a dance floor - each contributing in their own way but at the same time they contribute to an overall picture.
