Theresa Maxwell

Theresa Maxwell is a Beaches-based artist who creates pieces in oil and water colour. Originally from Ottawa, she studied art at the University of Toronto and in Moscow, Russia before entering law school and working as a lawyer for several years. Now focused again on painting, Theresa draws on ideas and images observed while travelling and working in Toronto and abroad. In her most recent series of paintings, Theresa explores the play of light and colour in interior and outdoor scenes. She has exhibited her work in various galleries in Toronto and Ottawa.
