Anne
Alcorn
Anne Alcorn was born is Digby Nova Scotia and grew up
in the Halifax Dartmouth area. She attended the Commerce Program at
St. Mary’s University. Following a successful career in the federal
government with the Immigration and Refugee Board she decided to leave
the federal service and devote herself full-time to her art. In 2001,
she joined Mainworks Artist’s studios’, an artist cooperative
based in the New Edinburgh area of Ottawa. Not only is she a full-time
artist but also a Member of their Board of Directors. Anne’s paintings
are held in private collections in Canada, the United States and Europe.
She exhibits through shows put on by Mainworks studios as well as at
Canvas Gallery in Toronto.
