Shireen Kamran
Shireen Kamran lives and works in Montreal. She holds
a BFA in Studio Arts from Concordia University. She has participated
in solo and group exhibitions both in Canada and abroad.
Her work speaks of the relevance of the traditional with a contemporary
sensibility. Like every artist with mystical leanings, she searches
for imagelessness in all images, for the invisible in the visible. Her
forms are both figurative and abstract, and neither at the same time.
She prefers that they defy any genre of classification, structured on
the format of the landscape. These partly map out a journey that is
both internal and external.
